CLS, I would really like to see your native shrimp. Could you post a picture? How big of fish can they eat? I like all types of shrimp.

One of my friends believes her amanos have been eating her cherries. I do not believe this to be the case, but just to throw it out there.

I had a couple hundred cherries and about 10 crystals. They were thriving and reproducing, and then poof, they were gone. I have no idea what happened. I had had them about a year. I never saw a dead shrimp. They were just gone.

Heres a Darwin algae shrimp. Same family as amano shrimp but australian.


And im pretty sure these are native.

I love the Darwin algae eaters (sorry for resurrecting an old thread). There are a variety with red noses that I can get here, but I only have one tank for shrimp and the kids want cherrys! One day...
