what kind of loach???

What kind of loach would be good in a 16 gallon aquarium? I love yoyo's but they need at least a 20 gallon tank-

16 gallons is pretty small for most loaches. You could have a couple of dwarf chain loaches but they''re happier in bigger groups. Maybe kuhlies- better to have a number of them too, but I think you could have a few in a 16 gallon. In my experience they aren't out and about as much as some other types of loaches, but they are cute!

I wouldn't even put chain loaches in a tank that size, although I was guilty of worse when I first started fishkeeping. I think kuhli loaches would be a good choice.

Khuli loaches would be great for that size tank. They are a lot of fun to watch.

Or some of the smaller ones, like Schistura.

A 20 is nowhere near big enough for a Yoyo.

If you can find the banded khuli loaches, they are adorable! They also do fun stuff like climb my plants and Cabomba.
