Hillstream loach fry! Unexpected!

But another has just appeared! We're scared of being overrun and not sure what to do! Please help!

I'm not sure what kind of help you want. This is a good thing! I doubt you will get over run with fry. Even if you do, you could probably give or sell them to other fish keepers.

I don't think you will be overrun if you have other fish with them. Most of the eggs will probably get eaten by other fish or the fry. I have fry too and am pretty sure the older fry are eating the new eggs as I haven't seen many newer fry out even though my group spawn twice a week. As Jim mentioned, you can give them away/sell to help control the population.

Congrats on the fry and good luck They're cute little buggers but also territorial at a young age.

We're worried because ideally we need to get a Siamese algae eater to clean the algae but we're not sure about compatibility, especially now they're a mating pair :/
