I have a facebook group called Botia Loaches and would like to know if i can post the group URL in the forum.

Group is not related to any business and its all about sharing and helping other loach keepers.

I joined a few days ago as well. I"ll have to add an album of facebook photos called "Loaches", and only let my Loaches group friends see them. (My other friends might think I'm weird, otherwise, posting a full album of just fish photos. It isn't exactly the sort of thing that facebook is used for)

Sure it is, I have albums of my fish on Facebook, just like other friends who have albums of dogs/cats/birds/reptiles whatever ...
another friend of mine has photos of prepared dishes of food and baked goods,
another has photos of ceramic bowls and craft items she has made ...
If someone thinks that you are weird for posting photos of your fish,
then they probably have no passion for anything, except maybe watching television

You don't create it in your profile, what you do is make an album in the group.

Enter the group and click on add photo and them create album.

The pictures in the group, will not show under your personal profile
