Do loaches shed?

I found a loach skin outside the tank that my husband claims was the actual fish jumping out of the tank. Can anyone post a photo of a skin to ease my nerves? They are my favorite and I hope it was just the skin.

I'm sorry, but neither loaches nor any other fish that I am aware of shed their skins.

Sorry to hear that your loach jumped to his death, but that is most certainly exactly what happened.
