Bump on Borneon Clown Loach

Post by Hell Fire » Thu Sep 28, 2006 12:50 pm

One of my clown loaches is from Borneo, hes the only one (i cant tell by the markings). Hes also the only one who has a bumpy head, the others all have the usualy slopeing head this one has a slight bump to it. Hes the dominant one so dont know if its a ingery but has been there for a while but as he grows its got more noticable. He doesnt seem to be in pain but just wanted to know if theres some like this? Ive seen some with a slight bump before. It may just look big as the others dont have it.
Thanks

Anything like this 9" specimen, shown on the left? She has always had quite a bumpy nose:

Well it's likely nothing to worry about if it looks similar, and if the fish is behaving normally and eating well etc etc. I've had this particular clown for 14 years now, and she's always been the same. Used to be boss of the tank until Marge & Stripes (bigger clowns) were added to my shoal last year.

Thanks very much, youve put my mind at rest. :)
Ill just keep a eye on it. No abnormal behaviour but compared to another one hes not as outgoing, i have this one in particular (heathcliff) whos into everything!! The big boss (garfield-the bump head) often tells him to calm down and puts him in his places lol!
So funny.
