I don't happen to share your opinion, but it is interesting so thanks for posting.
Have you any more information you could add about the fish?
Perhaps I am reminded of a time when I visited my LFS and they had in stock artificially bred Clown Loaches (that were injected with hormones and hand stripped of eggs and milt) none of which looked healthy. Since that day I have not been able to enjoy the so-called odballs that some people delight in collecting.
6 x Clown Loaches all 30 years of age on 01.01.2024, largest 11.5", 2 large females, 4 smaller males, aquarium 6' x 18" x 18" 400 ltr/90 uk gal/110 US gal. approx.
This is a leucistic clown loach naturally occurring but extremely rare. This particular loach is not for sale and has seen offers over $1000.00. It is in a plant tank of over 200gal in my area's nicest aquaria store. The pics don't do it justice as it is stunning.
