This beautiful Joe Loach photo is sitting in The Book dump file.

Do people think it's S. savona or N. masyae? I would like to put it in the correct profile.

I'll delete this thread once I get some opinions.

Can't see any photo, Martin. :?

I was actually thinking of starting a similar thread so that we can posts pics of any 'unknowns' we might have so that we can ask for opinions on what they might be in order that we can then either write a new profile for the species or add to an existing one. What do you think?

Well yeah, that would be because some idiot never included a picture :roll:

I think a UFO opinions thread would be an excellent idea. I'm working my way through Schisturas as you may have seen. Just about to do geisleri, and they look very like spilota to me. Even Tony T wasn't sure in his original profile pics.

My guess is a adult male Nemacheilus masyae.

A UFO opinions thread is a great idea. (i have a few UFO's)

Yes, that's what I thought Graeme. I had the species and the redness is very typical, but mine had slightly more of a rectangular spotted lateral area. This fish seems more solid coloured like a savona.
