I read the whole thread KK. He clearly does know how to keep fish, yet a bare bottom tank? So many fish...even with his overfiltration...and the combo?

Scary.

But they are his fish...

The owner of that tank is Neoprodigy. He is the owner/site admin. of Monsterfishkeepers, AquariaCentral, and a few other fish sites.

He's a knowledgeable and decent person, but I guess he just doesn't know anything about clowns loaches and that they prefer shelter.

I'll see if I can talk some sense into him.

I think there's absolutely no doubt this guy has seriously got the technicalities of maintaining large aquaria down pat, but has zero idea of ethics or plain common-sense. It's clearly a case of someone with more money than sense.......and no idea of aesthetics or fish's psychological requirements.

Or a blatant disregard for most of the above.

He's an idiot. Period.

That tank is big enough for maybe 1/12th of those fish fullgrown.

Not to mention that it looks like a tank at the worst kind of LFS... The guy's a greedy idiot. Regardless of good filtration whatever. crapp.

As far as I'm concerned, most of the people on Monster Fishkeepers just turn the hobby into an aquatic p*ssing contest. This guy's just trying to up the ante.

I find it all quite childish actually.

I agree with you all. I'm quite sad to see all those clown loaches in a feeder fish type set-up.

I agree with you there. I find a lot of the 'big fish' folk kind of get into that. "I have a 200 gallon"

Well I have a THREE hundred gallon

You only have ONE peacock bass?

I feed MY fish 1 kilo of food per day etc etc..

This guy here is what I call the 'how much can I fit' type of fish keeper. More concerned about cramming every last possible inch of fish into a tank than anything else...

It looks like a really cruddy holding tank at a trans-shipper or something...

Why you'd want that in your home for any reason I dont know... Why not have just a couple of dats and a syno or two...

Datnoids are the most personable and lovable of fish- but they get massive and need space and love... not to be crammed like a can of anchovies
