yes - it's a small sewellia lineolata!

hi there,

i wrote about the sewellia spawning in my tank a few days before. today the story gets even bigger: there are juvenile sewellias in the tank. i take a picture of one, but a have no macro equipment. (sorry for the poor quality).
next week i will try to breed sewellia in a special tank. i'm happy. now it is clear, that:

- i have at least a pair
- they are able to spawn
- the fry is able to survive

let's see if there are more

Are the Sewellia lineolata in a species-only tank at present, or do you have them in with the other fish listed on your signature? None of my fry have survived in the tank with other species, only in the filter.

hi,
some details about the tank:

- tank for 4 l-52 and 4 l-134, the sewellias were not the focus inhabitants but from the first day on it is a very good combination. there are some pseudospromenus dayi left in the tank (i breed them). i think they could be a problem for the fry of sewellia.

- water is warm, soft and acidic, fresh water every week.

- they get artemia, pleco chips and "diskus-granulat", they eat almost everything but artemia is there prefered food

i think the key is temperature and the water change in combination with the food. i think sewellia is a poor algae eater, they prefer the brine shrimps.
