Would Amano shrimp be ok in a tanks with:

Clown(~3"), yoyo, striata Loach
Garra Flavatra
Tiger Barbs

?

The loaches will eat them if they get the chance.

It's possible the Shrimp will evade them for a while, but if you want to keep them, don't put them with Loaches

It was a sensible answer, with a slight quip thrown in to lift your spirits. If I say they'll be delicious, and your aim clearly wasn't to use them as food, its a good answer no?

angelfish83's answer may have been tongue-in-cheek, but unfortunately very true.

People have kept shrimp in with these fish, but they'll end up as Sushi eventually.

Any species of shrimp are especially vulnerable when they molt. I would advise you against keeping them, especially with your occupants.

I did once purchase 5 amano shrimp for my community tank with loaches and noticed that within 2 weeks they were all gone...nothing but discarded shells remaining.

If its brown (diatom) ancistrus is 100% the way to go. If its green, but flat, they'll peck at some of that, and if its the hair algae type, they'll nibble it but not significantly dent it.

Any fish can get spoiled on pelleted foods that offer more bang for less effort though.
