Kubostrata ?

Post by Mad Duff » Fri Nov 24, 2006 1:12 pm

From the original 2 Botia Rostrata that I got one turned out to be a Botia Kubotai which is this fish:

The other fish however didn't change its markings and stayed looking like a Rostrata but recently its markings have started to change again, both fish are the same size so is this a late developer and going to end up a Kubotai or could it be something in between - Botia Kubostrata

This could be the case of the Botia sp. aff rostrata. Interesting!

Have you got a old picture of the first specimen?

This is a photo of them the day I got them the one that turned into a Kubotai is the at the back. The white areas have got slightley smaller and the second bar in from the tail now has a white dot in the middle of it.
