4 Striped Clowns

Post by P & D »

How common are clowns with four stripes? Are they the same as three stripes? And would there be anything different care wise?

they are the exact same fish..just that the 4-striped ones are 'mutants' as far as i know, they are commonly found in big, box stores like petsmart and walmart..

no special care is needed, just make sure they arent infected with any disease or parasites (common in big, box stores)

Thank You, Martin. The odd stripe variations are what attracted my wife to them, they are all different. I just wanted to make sure they were indeed clowns and not something else passing off as clowns.

A year or so ago, clowns with odd patterns were sold at much higher prices. Now, odd patterns seem to be the norm.

I have a 4 striper. I'll see if I can get a good photo of him to post in the article.

it may be possible for there to be a few mutant loaches coming from the cheq republic?? but there is definately a difference between natural mutations in colouring and these mutant fish.

Martin how are those fish you got off Pablo?
