The 20 would be preferable, but I think you need more flow.

About how many gph would I need? Is there a limit for gph in my 20 gallon?

I just think you need a larger powerhead. Something in the 130-200 gph range would probably work in a 20 high.

Well, I am trying to upload a picture from a folder called MY PICTURES, I am trying to upload it to the loach tank photo website in the upload picture area but I just can't seem to load it. I

Hmmmm.....interesting. Jim will want to see this. The body markings are typical Gastromyzon scitulus, but the dorsal appears more ctenocephalus.

Then the caudal has markings that are not typical of either species, but tend more towards ctenocephalus. Most interesting. Any more pics of it?

Yeah, that's why I don't know what it is, I checked the loach index on loaches.com but it wasn't there either.
