I found 3 of these guys atleast i think they are. I was showing my wife a tank of "skunk" loaches, and how some have the dotted tails and some don't, when we noticed one more elongated wich didn't have the center stripe. I think this kinda makes me officially a loach nut, because they were diffrent they had to come home with me. :lol: After a half hour of going through the tank ended up with 3. When i get the opportunity I'll post some pics.

it worked for me using either the img code, url+highlight and click the img tag here, or open photo, right click, select properties, highlight url, hit img here and paste.

The urls I used are the same that you posted. Don't know why they didn't work for you.

I think it may have somthing to do with my cpu, not sure how. On other forums I have not been able get pics to post also. Thank you for posting them for me.

Nice pics Shari, it must be said Leconte are a wonderful addition to an aquarium , they have a superb temprement ! even as adults [5 to 6inches]they are total sweethearts , in my expeiriance anyway , the ones depicted are the yellow finned variety ! they come with red fins also !

I don't know if it is normall behavior, but they are very good at findding there way through all the pebbles and rocks. I haven't seen them come out yet, even the pics are because I moved some of the bigger rocks. Seems a little wierd to me for a botia to be that adept at moving threw rocks, only description I can think of is simillar to some of the dwarf cichlids of Tanganyika.

They sound and look still very much juvenile, Jeremy. Give them time. What size are they? (1,5 inches?)

It has to be said , that for all the good points this fish has , they are rather shy , even as adults , in fact it is while they are growing that you will see more of them , [feeding times] still a real treat when spotted ! sometimes it is nice when a normally shy fish puts in an appearance, tends to make each glimpse, that bit more special !
