I've really enjoyed the pics if the loaches sticking their heads out of the sand. Can anyone tell me if that is fine gravel or a type of sand?

loachmom, the golden coloured substrate in the photographs is known over here as Silica Sand and is very fine. We use this in most of the stock tanks at work, as well as our clown loach aquarium at home.
