sticky business

Post by newshound »

could we make a sticky for all the "my clown loaches have white spot" that seem to be a never ending thing on the old forum?
BTW-I think I'll miss the old school forum...not to diss all the incredible work you've done!!!! It is just that every other forum I use was so modern vs. LOL forum that it was kinda like playing with my old LPs

Yeah, it was good newshound. The trouble is the records were getting scratched and then the needle kept getting spam fluff on it. Some of the labels were peeling too. One record kept sticking on... my Clown has ich.....my Clown has ich.....my Clown has ich.....my Clown has ich.....

As the back catalogue is now mainly available on CD, it was time to unscrew the horn off the player and send Nipper the Jack Russell to the pound.

I'll miss the album artwork, but CD quality is better IMO. The true art will come when LOL itself gets revamped. There's a super-group forming for the gig.

Martin.

Actually newshound, your post is probably the most significant thing you've ever posted on LOL...seriously! This new format forum totally allows that capability and would make an awesome addition to the top of the Forum. You'll still get people who miss it, but it's easy to redirect.

Part of the reason for creating the Loach Almanac was to have an info source available to direct people to for these reetative post answers. You'll never stop them all because certain people may still have detail Q's based on their circumstances.

As I said, there's a bunch of us that will soon be working on revisions and reorganization of all LOL info once Jeff gets the construction site running. He's currently evaluating the software options. Expect lots of cross-referencing capability though

Also, revisions to graphic content, i.e. photographs. I may even be talked into some fresh artwork

newshound,
having reviewed the size and specifications of your tank based on data provided I must conclude that the addition of the listed Botias would severely overload your environmental control systems and indeed be mental in the environment provided.

So, no you can't annoy me into a freebie fish delivery to Sudbury pal!

Skate on,
Martin.
