can't count fish! always moving/hiding.

Post by qumqats »

I put 5 kubs in the 60G tank two months ago. I've never seen all 5 at the same time, only 4. I've been assuming that somehow I'd lost one.

NOT SO!! I finally saw all 5 last night!! YAA!! :)

darn fish can be hard to count!

Just like the skunks I have in the 30G.

I never see all 4.

So I remove all the decorations to do an annual cleaning. I see 3 skunks and think I've got everyone out. NOT SO! I eventually discover the never seen 4th one in the hollow log. Back into the tank he goes to recover as if nothing had happened.

Moral of the story, Don't worry if you can't find all your fish. They're most likely in there somewhere!

You lot should try doing an annual stock take of fish in a well-stocked, good sized fish store!

I have no idea how many fish I have in my big River-Tank either for the same reason. Never can see them all at the same time, plus the P. cheni breed every so often and I get a few babies survive.
