the 11 inch clown chewed on a little bit of frozen bloodworms..he is quite thin thats why i did the deworm treatment
anyone else who knows if nitrofurantoin, mentronidajal and tinidajal will have any adverse effects on the clowns?

Here's a fish medication chart that I refer to-

I'd only treat for 3 days unless the directions say otherwise.
You might want to try feeding them some fresh vegetables, like cucumbers or zucchini. If you can get them to eat veggies, they'll be alot healthier. Algea wafers are good too.

Depending on your location levamisole HCL can be difficult to obtain, if not prohibited by legislation.
Another product that people have had success with is flubendazole.

Are they eating more? The 11" guy looks like he's having some slime coat issues...how's the antibiotic going?

Updates on the large clown..
The 2 8 inch guys have fattened up nicely...
The 11 inch guy which i just acquired 2 weeks ago, is eating quite well, not till the point of being bloated.
here are some pics,
Any comments will be appreciated!
PS : i took the photos when the clown is 'asleep'.That's why the bars look to be split.
2 weeks ago(25th of April),

A few minutes ago(6th of May)

I dont know if this guy still have parasites or not. Havent really put on too much weight. Anyone did such treatment for a clown of this size?
How long will it usually take to fatten him up with constant feeding?
Here are the 8 inch guys, as you can see, they have fatten up nicely.

Chefkeith,
I'm from Perak, Malaysia.Well, the man which i bought this clowns from do export fish to europe and he has one more 11 inch clown loach for sale.Btw, the importer and exporter guy told me that he was once offered a wild caught 14 inch clown loach, but turned down because the price would be sky high.He also has leptobotia pellegrini for sale..and it is an 8 inch one but I'm not too sure about it right now.
Thanks to Emma and everyone else who gave me advice on how to deal with this.
PS: These clowns are legal. It is only illegal to buy them from Indonesia and ship them out.I bought them from Malaysia and not from Indonesia.

salt water fish trick
Glad they are eating. Probably after the fact, but maybe a question for loach folks in general. For salt water fish, sometimes they reject anything you give them.
BUT---soak the food good in garlic sauce, and look out--it's amazing how often it works. I am soaking mysis shrimp and other frozens on a new saltwater angel right now, and he would not take the food before the garlic.
Wonder if that applies for older clowns like yours?
