More Sewellia...

Post by Jim Powers »

I was at my favorite lfs today and they still had the lovely S. lineolata that they got a couple of weeks ago. They have not lost a single one from the shipment. The shipment was mostly females with very nice colors. So, I decided to get my big, 2.5" (6.4cm) male another girlfriend. He and the smaller female have been doing the love dance, but I have yet to see babies. I thought I would give him another female to see if that changes. So, I am acclimating the beauty as I post this.

Congratulations Jim, I hope she settles in well. And let's hope the male takes a liking to her....

Be patient. I'll have to get a new camera. My fish looks much like the one in the species index except the worm-like markings are darker.

Jim:

Do you know which distributor your guy gets them from?

My local source has said that the ones they have been seeing are not in really good shape when they get here so he hasn't picked any up for me.

This was at Aquarium World in Lafayette. All I know is that their fish come out of Chicago. They have had several shipments of Sewellia, but this was the first with no losses at all. I think they have four or five left.
