Heater Burn...

Post by rkc772 »

I got a clown loach that has a heater burn on the side body any suggestion on how to cure it? Melafix/Pimafix? any good ones? The flesh is showing up... and i want him healed up soon. :(

I would try the Melafix.
Then, I would get one of the heater guards. If this happened once, it may happen again.
Good luck!!

Keeping the water absolutely clean, lowest possible Nitrates will help, too.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

If you look here at the bottom of the linked page:

......there's a picture of the terrible trauma that one of Chefkeith's Clowns suffered. If you read on, you'll find how well the fish recovered. Within limits, healthy, well-fed fish have remarkable powers of recovery. But they MUST be given good conditioins in which to heal.
