Its Clown loach season!

Clown loaches are flooding in at the moment..

According to the suppliers, now till the end of the year, clown loaches are abundant.

It is also the start of rainy season at Kalimantan, so large clowns are now readily available at lower than usual price. :D

I didn't know there was a clown loach "season". Is that true?

They breed on a seasonal basis in the wild (environmental changes are thought to be the trigger) but over here in the UK we have access to clown loaches throughout the year. Many are grown on in XXL tropical ponds in Asia and enough are collected during the breeding season to provide year-round supplies.

Hmmm, will be interesting to see if prices go down at all around here... they seem to have been pricey lately.

Yeah , i noticed quite a lot of Clowns in a local shop , very colourful they were also !
