CLOWNS AND HILLSTREAMS

somewhere here i remember reading that clowns and hillstreams cannot be put in the same tank... im sure the answer is right under my nose.. but.. anyone care to share their opinions on why they can or cannot be together??..

Temperature is the first thing that would spring to mind. Clown loaches do best over 80 deg F, which long-term is generally too warm for most species of hillstream loach.

There are other Botiine species that would be suitable for housing with hillstream loaches in slightly cooler water though. Yasuhikotakia nigrolineata or Sinibotia pulchra are the first that spring to mind, both species of which should cause no problems with aggression.

i will not be getting any clowns as i have done some further research into the articles... they live 40 years?!?!?!?!?!!?!?... 16 inches?!?!?
sounds like too big of a commitment at this point!!!
