New Kuhlis

Post by Wendie » Tue Apr 18, 2006 10:28 am

Well I tried once again to buy some kuhlis on the internet and from the looks of things.... I've made it. They are going on day ten here and looking good. Active and eating. Here's a few at breakfast this morning.

Yes, that is sunlight that you see in the back of the bunch. You'll notice the tea color of the water... that's from an Indian Almond Leaf in the tank. Another few days and the first couple will be transferred to the regular kuhli tank.

I might add that this particular dealer is very caring about his fish and won't sell anything that looks bad. He imports all sorts of things and if you're interested in joining his group or looking at his site, just drop me an email. He told us that these guys looked good when they arrived and had them in his tanks almost 2 weeks before shipping them to me.

They look in good nic. I got some a month or so ago but the only ones the LFS had were all black or black with some white patches. Are these all the same family, and from a different area, or a totaly different loach???

Those would be the black kuhlis which come in various shades of black, grey, and sort of a brownish color.
