Very intresting collection. I have a book of the dead here also I used to update but have tired of that as the energy drains.... .........how many fish and specie now and how much water Graeme?

I would say around 80% of the Loaches listed are still with me. Water? Something in the region of 860 UK gallons. I give up keeping Clowns in 2003 for my addiction on other loaches species. More room for the others.

Thats true. Clowns should be sold as specialized pond fish and for giant aquariums above 75 gallons.

Soon as my clowns go into the pond, I'ma have room for more loachies.

Drats Graeme! oh well. If I find myself in the UK, I'm going to visit you all and see your fishies.

Perhaps we should change the name of this group from Loaches Online to Loach Addict Support Group.

Your success rate is more impressive than the list IMO and speaks volumes to your passion for these fish . Very cool indeed. No Clowns must have been a hard decision but also speaks to your professionalism in this hobby with an absolute recognition of needs of the fish first and foremost. We should all be so smart. 8)

Thank you. Yes, it was a very hard decision to make but my curiosity about all the other Loaches out there made up the loss of the Clowns once i found them. Lots of miles traveled in my car and loads of contacts made. All in all, it's been worth it. These fish are unique and totally addictive. 8)

Hmmm, my tanks are not the prettiest. This is why i often just show pictures of my Loaches, in a profile style picture.

thats one impressive list of fish mate, ive seen some new species of poropuntus that would compliment your loach tanks mate, so far a very peaceful and greedy fish with good looks.
pretty cheap too bud

Mick, have you seen the Mystacoleucus argenteus which is around your area? They sound very tempting!

Are the Poropuntius sp's similar to the Poropuntius deauratus? I likes if so. :wink:
