Post by Mad Duff » Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:18 am

I took these video's this morning, first is an updated video of the 7ft tank which has had a little bit of a refurb and the other two are of the Clowns and other loaches.

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.

The revamped tank looks fab. 8) But you wait till those clowns grow a bit more, then they'll start doing their own aquascaping!!!

It is great to see the clowns having so much fun btw, and I find it interesting that the other species are joining in the loachy dance with them. I've seen no such interactions with my Emperors and clowns.

I reckon the customer that bought some of those clowns in would be so pleased to know that they have gone to such a wonderful home.

Yes - there is a breeding pair in there.

Thanks Emma, the histies already do plenty of digging and landscaping as it is

Its an amazing sight to see the 4 histies, 6 emperors and 6 clowns all swimming together

It would be nice for them to see the vids to see the tank they are in and how well they have settled :D

Wow, that's a big tank! Do you do scuba-diving in it?

Happy fish too!

Well done!

Awesome! Totally awesome Mad Duff! 8) Those clowns look really happy and healthy and active. I really like those Histies. They have fabulous markings. Are they pure or hybrids? I saw a couple of Bala Sharks how many of them have you got in there?

The Botia histrionica are wild caught fish from the Ataran River :)

There are 5 Bala's in there, I actually wasnt going to bother with Bala's but someone I know wanted them rehoming.

The Loach that lands on the other Loach is a Botia histrionica and the Loach getting landed on is an Emperor Botia :)

Those vids are amazing, Mark! I've never seen clowns and histronicas dancing and shoaling together, I am just awestruck. Thanks for sharing them!
