Java Moss on......

Post by Graeme Robson » Tue Nov 06, 2007 3:19 pm

A piece of Bamboo. Since the diameter on this one is only 2 inches wide, the smaller loaches love hiding in this and feeding from around it. :D

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.

Will you remove the piece from the tank for pruning? My java moss grows so fast.

Very clever, Graeme. I actually like the look of that a lot more than the sand-crusted one. Plus you don't have to smear it with sealant. I think you should keep a record of its "growth" and offer instructions in an article. This is one of the best loach cave ideas we've seen, IMO.

Very cool, nice way to have a tunnel in a Biotope tank without using up alot of time siliconing sand to PVC pipe!

Just wondering if the stuff rots slowly? I have heard that having an air stone inside the cylinder will slow down the bamboo's breakdown and reduce the smell that it emits.
