Pale color of clown loaches

I'd pass on the goldfish if I were you. They are generally cooler water fish (though the fancies like warmer temps) and are big poop and ammonia producers.

What kind are they? Are they in a heated (ie tropical temp) tank, now?

well ive already moved the loaches and boy are they happy..swimming around without a care in the world i dunno what kind of goldfish they are but they seem to be fine in 78f degree water.....so all in all mission success!
but another problem has arised....how can i get food down to them...i fed sinkin shrimp pellets but they cant seem to find em...brine and blood worms are gobbled up by other fish..i tried the whole puttin food in a corner and still other food to let it sink but the loaches dont seem to really want to find the food

currently-90gallon-5 rummy nose tetra,9 clown loach,3 rainbow fish, and soon 10-15 cardinal tetra.
Hi Jonathon,
I've used forks to hold the veggies with and that works quite well.
My clowns will move thier food into their homes.
The Veggie Rounds that I mentioned are made by Omega One. That is the only one that they seem to like. If you're concerned about them
eating try feeding at night before lights out, they are nocternal.
Good Luck

In time they learn your feeding paterns and will probably beg for food. Mine actually come right to the top and push the other fish out of the way for just regular ol flakes. I also have had good luck with any sinking pellet I'd ever tried. Just remember if you throw a new food in it might take em a while to figure out what it is.
An air pump wont do squat really. He was talking about a water pump. Clowns are from faster flowing rivers. Most folks here have pumps flowing a thousand gallons per hour or more. When I added a 1200gph circulation pump my loaches really seemed to like it and became much more active. Goldfish will not like this kind of flow, one of the major incompatabilites - especially fancy goldfish.Toothpik wrote:oh i didnt know that i thought a powerful air pump would be sufficiant but ill try that also thanks tinman
