The Syncrossus are more succeptable to osmotic shock than the Botia ime.
This full colored loss shows possibly increases in TDS as the incoming water is usually harder than that of a running tank. The hymenophsya, beauforti, berdmorei being much more intolerant than the helodes to the changes among the Syncrossus ime.The almorhae seem to be the least affected when my system is stressed by incoming water issues among my other Botia. I know water changes can be the most dangerous moments in fishkeeping.
Condolences on your loss. A speciman of that size has special value.

Thanks all,

Didn´t know TDS was an isue to helodes. Maybe that explains my other helodes loss 6 months ago.

Hi all love the site good job.

Marcos,
your Loaches are awesome.
But are your Discus going to be alright with those Jacks? I know mine would kill discus.

I first planed to put the Discus with the loaches but with that 6,000 Liter/hour rivertank manifold I wondered if they would enjoy that much. So, I decided to put them with the Jack Dempsey. Aparently they ignore each other. 8)

Wow! Great pictures. Thank you so much! I always look forward to pictures and posts from you.

Do the Brazilian forums have pictures? If so, could you post a link if they are public, so I can take a look? :)
