Cheers Andy, there is a fair bit of variation among the 4 fish but whether they are different species or its they are sexual differences I dont know :?

Looking at the photos, they look like they are all the same fish to me. Banding, striping is highly varied amongst these types of fish. I have kept specimens like the ones in the photograph and after evaluating their behavior and color patterning as they grew, I came to the conclusion they must be the same species. If they are not, they are very closely related. Maybe one is a sub-species of the other.

Yeah ,they do look to be the same species ! wonder if its an age factor ? with that what i mean is take Botia Dario , as young fish they mostly have 7 dark bands , but as they age these bands can split giving them a multi barred pattern , not to disimilar to B. striata !

This is genrally speaking i know some Dario's have quite odd and indistinct bars !
