I've kept them in the past over several years and never seen it happen.

Hi all.
This phenomenon seems to happen in a cheerful individual.
It is over in two or three days even if long.
The last pictures are March 28, 2004 and March 13, 2005.
In past pictures, three pieces were found more.
This pictures are February 26,2006, February 11,2007, February 09,2008,
It was photographed five times in winter. Will this be accidental?

Yes i've seen this with most of my hillies from time to time
(Gastromyzon, Sewellia, and Beaufortia) though not as heavy as i saw with your pictures or Oddysey's

I'm checking the hillstream loach frequently, and I have not seen the threads again. I will check whenever it happens and see if it is only in winter, that is the only lead we have. no?
CatsandFish: can you imagine any cause for this?
