According to Nayak, there are 2 groups of Schistura sp in his tank. One group with around 7-8 bands and another with 9 bands. The 9 banded ones are more colorful and aggressive. The others just dont bother these bullys and keep to themselves.

I too like Schistura semiarmatus. Below is the snap of one caught in 2009. Posting both for comparison. At present this guy/gals caudal peduncle is roughly a centimeter wide.
