Simply stunning! Threadfins always have such a subtle beauty about them while the Tapajos Orange Head is just "in your face" gorgeous.
They've matured beautifully in 11 months.

Oh!.....nice loaches :D

Martin.

Clear and beautiful pics! (and fish 8))

One of these days I may be able to take decent pics.
For now, I'll settle for looking at everyone else's.

Thanks Martin - I'm a little dissapointed in the growth rate of the Geo's, thought they would be a little bigger by now, perhaps need to feed them more.... Also love the threadfins.

Thanks for the comments Helen and Shari2. Helen, that yoyo is a fat little pig, at least double the size of any of the others I bought at the same time.

Cheers

Wow! Fabulous tank.

Have you had any incidence of the threadfins breeding? Dr. Momfish's cousin had them breeding like rabbits. He was getting totally over-run and taking them regularly to LFS's. I bet most of the threadfins in Toronto have a connection with his tanks 8)

Because the young don't really look anywhere near as gorgeous as the adults they photographed an adult and took the pics to the shops so's they could display it on the shop tank. Then potential purchasers could see what the fish would grow up to be.

Thanks for the comments Martin. Coming from you its really a compliment. Have never noticed and breeding behavior with the threadfins. Never really tried to breed any of them as only have the one tank.

Believe it or not there are 6 nice size clowns in there from 4-6 inches. The would probably clean up any fry that were born. Have had the Clowns for about 10 years now and they are part of the family. They come before any breeding attempts and as far as I'm concerned, are the nicect fish one could ever hope to keep. Hopefully the larger tank and the constant drip water changing will allow them to grow a bit more. They were probably a bit stunted (or just stopped growing) in the smaller 4' tank I had before this one.

Am slowly going to get rid of the severums(6) as the others grow to avoid overcrowding.

Cheers
