Amazing color on those histrionicas!!
I have never seen them that orange. I bet they will still be amazing in adulthood and won't get as silvery as many do.

As with all things TGTBT... I noticed the largest one is completely missing its right gill plate and the gill flesh is completely exposed.... Hooray....
I'll have to return him tommorow. He'll be fun to catch Im sure.

I could see a big red patch. I assumed it was juvenile see-through operculum. That ain't good. I'm sure Harold will switch it.

Of course he will

I'm more concerned with having to catch one specific loach out of 11 loaches and 8 corys and 2 rams that are totally humanized and swim up to my hand on purpose... without tearing everything apart...
Not a fun time...

Shame about that gill plate. I've had a similar experience when I went to buy some especially nice angels. So busy looking at fins, and body shape that I totally missed the shortened gill plate on the 'nicest' looking one. Of course, in my case the lfs did not take back the fish...

Well the one I got in exchange wasn't very attractive... All the nice ones sold out I ended up with a runt... with TWO gill covers though
They all settled right in... Everyone moves in a big cloud... All 19 of em (excluding the plecos)... its hilarious. Like a motley crue of fish. They're happy together though...
