Em...doesn't that odd patterned loach remind you of Hels oddball guy? Especially look at the caudal peduncle markings and caudal patterning.

I remember one of my Botia rostrata's changing into something like Helen's loach but not as near with the markings. I've searched my computer and found these old old images. First is juvenile, second is adult.





Now we see many solid twin barred Botia rostrata specimens compared to my old picture. Not to mention the others....

here we are this is a pic of the similar 1 i got the other day (hard work this one he was camrea shy )

We really need to get all these similar oddball pics into one thread so that we can compare them more directly.
