here's the lone b. histrionica next to his cousin, the b. kubotai.
or at least I think so.
and here's a close up of the teeth on the rainbow.. i can't get over it.

I'm inclined to think the 3rd fish may also be B. kubotai, but only time will tell.

Histies usually have squigglier lines, even when they are young.

I have to say that i've been pondering on these and to me, i would say all three are Botia histrionica.
Variants are now becoming more popular these days. Could be different locations...etc.

yeah, i was wondering what makes kubotai & histrionica different species to begin with. Yes their stripes are a bit different but that's like saying humans are different species just because of hair color.
the only solution is genetic testing.
