I usually use a tripod sometimes with mirror lockup for about 75% of those pictures. The Yoyo on pic D is about 5.5 inches and the one on Pic F is about an inch smaller.

Yea, the price does add up very quickly. Pic C was done with the macro lens and has been down sampled and reduced in size for the web. At true resolution you can see the blood vessles on his wiskers.

I have been looking at these Giant Danios at the LFS for a month. Although they seem active, I never bought them because they were a pale bluish silver. After I got them, I decided that they are the best dither fish out of 8 species I have ever had. They seemed to love the river flow and colored up after a week or so, they never sit still...Never! not even during sleep (they sleep swim and my tighr and modesta cannot eat them-yet), they are relatively big (2.5 inches)

The most agressive loach (towards other laoaches) ever, regardless of size. This guy dont care if he is out weighted by 500%. A nice cozy isolated cave in a big tank keeps him at peace.

Superb looking Syncrossus beauforti! Excellent adult specimen.

Your S. beauforti is a stunner. If you could try again for another shot like that but with the entire tail also in the pic, I'm sure it should go into our species index.

Lovely Devarios also. I know how difficult it is to photograph these chaps too!

Thank you all for the compliments, I will pass it on. I have this pic at a much higher quality and resolution. Only problen is that part of his tail is missing in the photo. He is a very shy guy and I had to sneak up and take this shot. The only reason I got this close shot in the first place is because I had removed all the rocks and ornaments from the tank and only left a couple of rocks leaning against the front glass. He hated the light so much that he, after a day, decided to hang out between the front glass and the rock, that is, until he spotted me. They are shy towards the camera's too. If this photo cannot work, I will see if I can get another one sometime when I I have time to pull everything out.

I know how difficult certain fish can be. If you could send me the untouched original file, I could see what I can do with it. It would be great in the species profile.

Vancmann- I like your Giant Danios. Do you have those in a loach tank or a river tank? What temperature range is good for Giant Danios? I am finding conflicting information at other sites. I would like to put them in a CL tank, but it may be too warm for them.

Thank you Keith To answer your question, Both. I keep most of my loaches as well as the Giant Danios in the river tank. Currently the tank is running 1600 GPG. and parts of it recycles completely about 72 times per hour. The Giant Danios really like the same current, temp (78-80) and water conditions as the clown loaches and seem to be thriving. I have not had them for very long so I dont know much about them. I know they are from warm waters of the west cost of India.
Here is a more focused shot of one. Although these fish are restless and taking a shot of them is tough, they are not shy so I have many opportunities.
