hate to hijack this thread, but perhaps Emma you can answer this question I have about dojo/weather loaches? They grow to 10 inches, how deep do they get? I can't imagine them getting too deep. and what tank size would you consider ideal?

Mature specimens can be fairly deep, and I've seen some 'biggies' with a depth of over 1.5". I'd say a 4ft tank would be the absolute minimum size for a group of juveniles, and I'd like to think of them going into a 5ft+ tank when adult. It's not like these are sedentry fish, they have bouts of very erratic swimming behaviour and are capable of surprising bursts of speed. For this reason, the longer and wider the tank, the better.
