Thx for the link Martin. I've read a majority of your articles and find them very helpful and well layed out. Is there any specific techniques for breeding HS such as water temp dips to simulate rainfall, current raising or lowering, daylight hours and such things? Fortunately I keep all my tank water params in pristine conditions. My tap water GH/KH is =< 20, is this OK? The only thing I add to water is Prime on water changes. I hope the Oxygen is high enough with the airpump forcing air into the rear powerhead. As you may have noticed I had to mount a fan over tank to keep temps at 72 because the 2 802's (70) heat the tank to 76. It does however make stability more difficult but I seem to have it down now. The summer maybe a bit more challenging though.

The powerheads are hermetically sealed even though they have a waterline sticker. Yes, they are low because that's where the Hillstreams require current. I also piped the intake of the Dynoflo 3 filter accross tank to help with unidirectional flow. I am totally addicted to this tank and Hillstreams. This is my newest of 5 tanks, but I won't get into them here.

I took some pics with a better camera. Hopefully these are good enough to make positive identifications.

Top pics look like P. fangi, bottom two look like Beaufortia kweichowensis.

thx Jim. Then I have 4 P. Fangi and 2 Beaufortia kweichowensis. One of my Beaufortia's is smaller and has a rather brownish red color but the same spotting. Does this mean anything? Also despite reading the article on sexing I have yet to determine sexes of my P. Fangi or Beaufortia's yet.

It might possibly be another beaufortia species, such as leveretti, or just a color variation of kweichowensis.
