LES mentioned this sort of construction ^, two spray bars from the pumps and one from the filter. Almost the same as now but as the tank gets less height the current should stay straighter and not so many twirls. At least the pumps are hidden and the spray bars could be easy to hide. Back to the drawing board.

Good idea. I think it could work if you do not have too many holes in your spray bars which could disperse the flow too much.

Took the big step and ordered the tank today, will get it at the end of next week. And here is once again an idea of the setup (2nd pump is cloaked):



Reasons for this:
1. More space for rocks.
2. The funnel shape should result to more current as is gets tighter at the suction end.
3. I wanna.

The good thing is that there is no hurry so I can take some time doing this and try different things.
