Well, 6 hours in the Q-tank and everyone has finally quieted down. The Sinos are a rather skittish little fish and I think the Helodes are going to be a handful. The big one keeps trying to launch himself into the power filter and the smaller of the 2 already jumped out of the Q-Tank. It's a good thing I heard the splash because the cats did too and they were johnny-on-the-spot. He was almost sushi!

B158, Jim, Martin, if you right click and select 'view image' you may be able to see them. Works for me. Don't know why the link isn't showing, but...

You could get away with keeping the Sinibotia robusta in your 150g without any problems. Since keeping mine in a larger tank i seem to see the aggression dampened down. On the the Syncrossus helodes, these chaps are a handful no matter what sized aquarium they are kept in.

Hi Robin,

I'm no longer allowed to import S. robusta over here due to restrictions on certain species, but when bringing them in before now, as juveniles, they were little angels. But they were relatively slow sellers and once they started to mature, they really did become very aggressive/nippy. Graeme added some of these to his Grrrr tank, and I think I have one or two left at the shop which these days share a 4ft stock tank with several Syncrossus species and skunks and have no problem holding their own.
