Thank you all for the wonderful comments.
I'm really tempted to get a small tank with sponge filter and have a serious go at trying to breed these......but where to put the tank is the question?....

Kitchen counters are good places to put tanks. Get to observe them often, close to the sink, easy to clean, feed, watch, enjoy...

Although I have to admit, the ideas of the computer desk and the kitchen counters are pretty good...........
