Great photos, composition, and colors.... (and fish too).

Are the colors real or enhanced? The red is the best I've seen yet...

Thanks mikev,

The colors are not enhanced by the camera or the computer.

Not all my pictures come out so red, but most of them do. And the clowns are pretty nicely colored in real life, too. I have wondered if it was the occassional Betta food that they get. It has color enhancers in it.

Maybe others have some ideas. I'd like my photos to be just a little more clear also, but I haven't been able to make that happen yet.

Very interesting. Which brand? -- I would love to try this. (Nothing wrong with my clowns, but your red is superior...)

The betta food is BettaMin by Tetra. It says on the can 'The Vibrant Blend.'

Also says on the label that it promotes color. I don't keep a betta with my

clowns, but they get this food a few times a week because they like it.

Another thing I noticed is that a little while ago, I stopped feeding them their

cooked shrimp (which they love) because I was too busy to cook and chop it

up for them. This is what they looked like after about a month with no

shrimp.

I started the shrimp up again and their color increased. (The lighting seems a little different in the above picture. Maybe it was the time of day that I took it. Don't know.)

i find that if you use frozen salad shrimp. you can put a bit of tank water in a small cup. get a few pieces of shrimp in it. then wait 10 minutes for it to defrost. then use your hand and smash it up into little bits. it only takes a few seconds this way. i used to chop it up with a knife but i got really lazy! :D

What can I say that has not been said already? These photos are beautiful. The fish look so pretty, colorful, and healthy. You really are a good "loachmom" !

Excellent stuff, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy seeing people's clowns, as I have no room to keep them myself. :D
