They are mixed right now between a 180 and 150 gallon tank. And as soon as I get a stand and a filter built, some will be moving into a 220.
Mark in Vancouver wrote:Neat photos. Are you using a remote flash above the water?
Yeah. I am using a wireless remote flash (SB-600) with a Nikon D80 camera...and it is still not easy to get decent clown pics.

Thanks...it's my favorite. The only one that I have ever seen like him. I wish I was able to find more.
chefkeith wrote:I like it how there is shadows and darkness in the background. How did you do that?
Almost forgot to mention that you have some excellent clowns.
Thank you. The shadows in the back were achieved by using an overhead flash. I am able to use an F32 aperture and a quick shutter speed, so only what the flash hits is in focus. It's a little harder to capture loaches since they like to stay near the bottom for the most part....until feeding.

AWESOME CLOWNS
These pics are some of the best I have ever seen. These photos remind clown loach lovers the reason why this hobby is so addictive.
They are soooo addictive. I started out with just a small group of 3 to take care of a snail problem and soon after the addiction kicked in.

I would guess around 9" or so, but he is horribly fat.
