In most of the pics I have seen, they look more like long snouted rostratas. Are these young fish?

I have a mixture of different sized Emperors in my tank at home, and the pattern is very different in the younger specimens - not quite so ornate. I would post pics, but they are all so very shy!

I don't know how old they are but the smallest one is just over 3 1/2" and the biggest is around 4" so if the species index is correct that they reach a maximum size of 6" then I could only hazard a guess at around 3 years old maybe, possibly more
I guess this is the only problem with fish that very little is known about, it all guess work until more people can keep and study them.
