Hello,
I am notifying you as a participant in the Million Dollar Tropical Fish Photo contest of a change in the rules:

We will be selecting the winner of the contest in a different manner.

The top Twenty (20) photos with the most votes will be submitted to a Three (3) panel team for final judging. The panel will be made of a Saltwater/Freshwater Hobbyist, a representative from TFH and a professional photographer.
If there is a tie for the 20th place, then each photo that has the same amount of votes as the 20th place will be included for judging.

The judging criteria of each photo will include color, deportment, and condition of the photographed aquatic life as well as the clarity, quality, theme and presentation of the photo itself.
Albert gets 12 votes a day from me (when I remember) as I get the guys in my office to log on and vote too!!, as well as me doing it at home!!

Good luck.

TC

if that new voting is used we need to get the photo to look better.
I am a professional phootographer and am more than willing to work on the original image to make it look better (ie better colour and contrast etc...)

Not sure that photo shop is the way to win a contest.

Anyway, I just tossed my 3 at Albert, and he only needs 2 more folks to do the same to tie, and three to overtake the clarkii again. I did a bit of a search last night and found that the clarkii (owner, that is) has a blog and a facebook following, hence the push to the top. I STILL haven't found the damsel voting pack, and I've looked (only because of the sheer frustration that is: WHY is that picture at number 2??).

So, are there a few folks who haven't voted yet today? Grab the spot back from the clarkii!

Smiles, marli

Excellent! Here's the link again, for those who don't have it handy:

By the way, Jim, I saw your lecture at the OCA this past November and bought the book (Loaches) based on that lecture. Just wanted to say it's a great book, and you are a great speaker! That was my first fish 'thing' and it was FANTASTIC.
