Thank you for your comments. They are in fact very low-tech tanks.

I was lucky that the clowns were still for a moment. Mine are quite strange as they never hide during the day. In fact they bask in the lightest spot and only gather in their cave at night.

The new large one (119g or 450lt) was a lucky strike as it was a plant display tank in a FS which was closing down. I only had to add bogwood and few more plants. Everything else was included!!!

It was supposed to be an Amazon biotope but in the end we thought that it was silly to keep the clowns in the 63g when they can enjoy the space in the new one.

So as soon as I am certain that it is mature and the existing fish have no disease the clowns will be moved to the larger one.

I love your ones too, especially the khuli ones. There are 5 in my loach tank but contrary to the clowns they are always hiding. Possibly because the current is too strong for them.

sorry for the bad photo, i havent learnt all the settings on my mobile yet. its my loachtank, but its too early for them to be out yet. i wish i could get my tanks looking as good as everyone else's, but at least there are lots of hiding places, which is most important for me.

Helen, its looks like its a nice tank to me. Ive come to the conclusion we have all the best "aquascapes" here on this forum ! They keep getting better. I havent even started mine yet. I have plans.

there's some already in andre,
L dispar, L guntea, sewelia lineolata's and the vietnamese hogface loaches.
theyr'e all loving the current.

i currently have a big chunk of anubius just floating around, as the loaches kept barging through it at lower levels. style? never mind style. they just seem to like moving the furniture


Mick it looks like you have tons of current in your tank your plants look much healthyier than mine

helen that filter can punch out 500 gph, i got it at an auction for all of 7 quid, i just replaced the sponges.
