By the way, Emma, do you have any of these in your home river tank?

Yes, I hope it has found somewhere nice too. No red Homalopteras at all in my river tank, I've got 2 types of Sewellia (which as you know seem to be increasing in numbers of their own accord), Annamia normani pair, an unidentified hillie (I think you have/had one that looks the same), my old lone Schistura balteata, two L46 zebra plecs, and about 20 red crystal shrimp.

I wondered if you had regular H. confuzona. I guess not.
I still have that unknown guy. I will definately be working to get a pic of him for comparison to yours. In the mean time, here is a poor pic of one of his friends, a H. yunanensis that loves to hang with the unknown guy on the end glass opposite the powerhead and near the bubble wand.

Nice looking H yunanensis Jim! My group of 6 have been ever present in my tank with plenty of scraps with each other. A feisty little chap with each other.
