I will definitely get some maracyn2 and start treating. How will I know how many days I need to do it? 5? 10? And would I use the whole dose?None have any symptoms yet and I hope to keep it that way.

That's a good question. If the other fish don't have any symptoms and you only had that other fish in for a day or two, I would initially plan on a five day treatment. Keep an eye on the fish and if symptoms develop during the five day treatment, go for a full ten days.
Be sure to moniter water parameters.

Yeah your right, i mis-read the post
Still does'nt change the main points though: Hillstreams should'nt be kept as goldfish tank accessories (although the blame usually lies with the retailers rather than the customers), and DEFINATELY not in un-mature tanks.

Yes. I wasn't trying to say that having those loaches in those conditions was ok. Which is why I stated that I didn't have experience. I didn't want to mislead someone. I was just trying to say that it wasn't quite as high as you mentioned for someone else coming along and reading your post (cause nitrites of 2 and I doubt the fishes would be "normal"). Hillstreams are beautiful loaches but I'm already at max capacity and don't have room or proper housing for them.
