Ok! Then I have 1 out of 2. Next is to get the Flubenol. I was under the impretion that Prazi didn`t work against "classical" skinny disease.

I've heard that too and it's false information. Prazi won't work in many cases becasue skinny is just a symptom that can be caused by a multitude of things.

Internal parasites is just one of the culprits. Emaciation can also be caused by a bacterial or fungal problems.

With my problematic clown, the biggest problem is that the fish is a very picky eater. It only wants live or fresh foods. He needs to be at full strength to compete with the other fish for the fresh foods I give them. It took a good 2 years for this fish to build up the kind of strength that was needed so that it could compete for that food.

I also had a water change issue back then that may have caused some osmolarity problems with my fish. Osmolarity problems could also make skinny problems worse.

Unfortunately with fish keeping, lessons are usually learned the hard way.

A clown which is a picky eater!!! Mine are quite the opposite :D Thanks for the info; hopefully it wont happen again in the near future (all my other loaches are fine and healthy, so far) but it`s very useful for me to learn about the different treatments. Thanks again!

Kind regards
